Force Orb is potentially a more interesting question, since its secondary attack hits each creature enemy adjacent to the initial creature or object.

Fixed. Not necessarily important to your discussion, but one of the more useful aspects of the power. Level 1 AoE spell that doesn't affect allies!

Although if the Fighter, say, were surrounded by eight nasties, you could conceivably aim the primary attack at him, in order to catch all eight enemies in the splash! Despite the fluff, the primary attack can hurt an ally.
