Acid ignores hardness?

Otherwise noone would mine with picks, because criticals don't work on objects. They'd all use two-handed swords.

Do I see a funny character idea in that? Yes, I do.
 

Yeah, important to note in all those instances of how energy damage interacts with hardness it says that this is for most substances, rather than all of them.


Otherwise you get wacky things like people mining with greatswords, and wood being unable to burn.

They are made of Glas! The internal structure of the atomic "gitter" makes it impossible for any sour liquide to cause damage to it.

In fact Devils are very resistant to acid as well... which concludes:
Devils must be made of glas! So next time you encounter a Pit Fiend get into touch range and shatter him! That will teach this bunch a lesson :cool:

You know, that would also explain why they're vulnerable to sonic damage, unlike Slaadi or Formians.
