AD&D 2E AD&D on D&D Beyond? One Man's Dreams...

I guess I was thinking, there are a lot of people who are not playing D&D anymore
there are a lot more people playing 5e than there are people who played 1e to 4e combined. Add to this that grognards generally appear to not like online play, which makes me believe that the market for this is much too small for WotC to try, even if they would be ok with splitting their player base

Somewhat ironic, since I finally started getting to play OD&D, and getting my first regular OSE (B/X) and AD&D play in years because I started playing online during the pandemic.

One can certainly recruit and start a group in person, but a huge advantage to playing online is being able to link up with other existing old school and OSR fans and play with them, rather than having to sell new players on older editions.

I'm thankful that they've got so many old D&D products available as print-on-demand on DriveThruRPG. As those older books get more and more expensive, it's nice to have a low-cost alternative. Having an "ADND Beyond" would be cool, but extremely unlikely.
I have many, many AD&D and 3.x books. But I do find buying on PDF convenient for things I missed, and for looking things up, and copying and pasting.

WotC did right in publishing much of the back catalog on PDF.
