Aren´t those the same kind of bonus!?

I´d assume that enhecement bonus can bypass DR...
Magical enhancement bonuses can bypass DR. Adamantine in a "natural" enhancement to a weapon.

According to most sources adamantine is just a really really expensive way to not penetrate DR or hit incorporeal creatures or ethereal creatures or do anything else that a less expensive magical weapon can do.

The only bonus is you are harder to sunder than a cheaper magical weapon when you are inside an anti-magic field.

Yay! :D

That... and the bragging rights that my sword is shinier then YOURS!!!

But I thought mithral was shiny blue/white/silver metal and adamantine was solid black and almost lusterless.. Good drow and dwarf metal.

At least that's what I remember of 2e Complete Book of Elves metallurgy. Adamantine = radioactive (how silly?) charged metal from down below, black and naturally magical.

Mithral = silvery blue moonlight charged metal of the surface elves.

So a magical blade would not only be shinier but also 30% likely to shed light as a torch.

You might be right... I'll recant and say... My sword is way more exotic then your average every day magical weapon!!" ;)
