Someone on the WotC boards mentioned that MM2 changed adamantine is some way. Does anyone have confirmation/details?

I own the book but nothing comes to mind. Do you have a link to the discussion? I'd like to read it.

Here's the post from WotC boards.
For the enchantment bonus, no it is not the same. I had a similar post a while back,
and it was pointed out to me that the MM2 Errattad it (i believe page 16 or so)

Adamantium gives a + to hit and damage, much like an enchantment bonus, but
will not overcome DR, and is thus less effective than an actual enchantment. It also
does not stack with an enchantment, meaning that a +2 enchanted adamantium longsword
would only be +2, but would retain the +2 to hit in magic dead areas( from the metal itself).

And a link.

I just did another look through, and I didn't see anything. The only think I can guess it's that it's under one of the creatures in some obscure place, assuming its even there.

Found it, pg 16, left column, first full paragraph.

"Non magical enchancement bonuses (such as those from masterwork or adamantine weapons) do not enable a weapon to overcome damage reduction."

Well, that's nice to know. Adamatine sucks slightly more than I thought. Oh well. Already sucked to much for anyone to use the stuff.

That's a direct quote? Maybe they need to hire better editors. Masterwork weapons don't have an enhancement bonus, they have an unnamed bonus that does not stack with enhancement bonuses. Bad WotC! Bad!
