My hat of plain miniatures knows no limit.

They are expensive, spoiled, rotten, and annoying. I can't take the time to collect them. Especially when I'll have more important expenses in the future, like a house payment.

He bought a nice carribean island. That's why.

If you're addicted to Minis and want to stop, just send all of them to me.

Anyone have any advice or suggestions on why I shouldn't worry about the Harbringer Boosters of Dragoneye series being discontinued?
Because, unless you're aiming for complete collections, I wouldn't worry about them. Besides that, compared to the newer minis, the Harbringer minis are really crappy looking.

Do you have the same issue with Baseball and other collectible cards?

One might argue that Fleer and Tops are more to blame than WotC...after all, baseball card trading has been a hobby for at least a hundred years, now. Heck, they used to be packaged with gum and chewing tobacco as an extra...then the gum became the extra, then the gum went away.
I am aware of this, and yes, I do have the same issue with them, but there is one mitigating factor... I have zero interest in most sports so baseball cards aren't even on my radar (they are still evil though).

Besides which, if not for M:tG, D&D might be just a memory right now. ;)
And truth be told, I think it would be a fair trade. Although someone besides WoTC would have bought D&D (they probably wouldn't have done such a good job with it though).

Before 3e came out I hadn't played D&D since 1985. If WoTC hadn't bought it, I would probably still be happily playing Ars Magica, Feng Shui, Over the Edge, and Champions (I still play Ars by the way).

luckily my hat of the WotC minis knows no limit.

Again with the Hat of Holding? :p

As for myself, I bought many boosters (well, not THAT many) pretty much impulsively (Harbinger and Dragoneye), and then I bought a case of Archfiends, and I haven't bought anything else lately. Of course, when Giants of Legends comes out, I'll probably buy a case...

As for individual mini's, I'me going to spend more than 100$ getting missing rares and uncommons for the 3 sets. I found a guy on ebay who sells quite a few minis and he lives 20 minutes away from where I do :p

As for addiction, when it's minor (spending a little more money than you should), I say "get a hold of yourself. NOW", because you can, and because you don't want this to evolve into something worse. "I can't stop myself" is BS. Give yourself a couple of slaps in the face. You'll be ok :)
