Adding "Corrupted Creature" Template [BoVD]

Hi!!!

I am now making a creature that has the Corrupted Creature Template that is on Book of Vile Darkness, but I have come with a problem.
The base creature I'm taking is an undead. The statistics on the template say "Creatures that gain this template change their type to aberration"
I know, but I think that an undead it's an undead corrupted by evil or not (well... archliches are not, hehe ). So... would you leave the "undead traits" in spite of changing the creature type?
The only change for aberration it's that he would have darkvision 60 ft.
What would you do?

It becomes an aberration but retains the special quality Undead. Similar to the shadow wight in the Manual of the Planes. (Just happen to have that template open right now... )
