Adding CR +x template to a monster with CR lower than 1

What will happen I do this? For example, a medium-sized skeleton is CR 1/3. Then I add spell touched template (from MM2) to this skeleton and this template add +1 CR. Now how much should be the CR of Spell Touched Skeleton? 1 and 1/3 (I don't know how to handle this) ? Or rounded down to 1?

This is not directly covered in the books. However, the CR/EL system presented in the DMG can be most conveniently mathematically translated to use negative numbers instead of fractional numbers.

If you do so, CR 1/3 = CR -2.
Adding +1 produces CR -2 +1 = -1 = CR 1/2.

So I'd recommend treating them as CR 1/2 (that is, one CR step above CR 1/3).
