First Post
Havent read this entire thread (cos its so damn long) but briefly saw the kobold to CR 10 thing. Well here's my idea. A Kobold WereElephant. I dont have my books on me at the moment so i cant do up the template or sample kobold but an elephant is CR 8 so a WereElephant would be a CR +10. Once ive written this up Ill post it.

Just remembered lycanthropes need to be carnivorous creatures so maybe a WereOctopus?

Lycanthropes in myth are quite varied, depending on which creatures are viewed as very dangerous, so a were-elephant would not be too out of line. Another think is the size restrictions given in the MM, but MonoF has a one or lycanthropes that are larger than that. (and I think the werecat mentioned in the book is smaller than normally possible), so I would argue that any animal is fair game.

Were-Indricothere, anyone? ;)

Only if the base creature is a giant ;)

Which, if the werebaboon from the recent Dungeon magazine is any indication, will be very possible in R3E. ;)

Maybe something worse... Mountain Giant Seismosaurus-were?
