Advance copy The End rpg- it looks awesome

First Post
I saw an advance copy of The End when I was at the GAMA convention. The source material and cover material looked great. The leather like cover made it look just like a preacher's book. I also saw Spycraft- The Spycraft book is very slick and has some interesting ideas.

The End looks very, very cool. It's combat system is brutal and it emphasizes skills and feats (Many, many new skills and feats!). I especially liked the medical skills and feats-- the best treatment of this issue yet IMO. The Ennui rating also reminded me of the sanity rating in CoC. Very cool mechanic.

Hmm, How about a CoC The End?

Compatibility???

I also wanted to say that I have not seen CoC, but that it will be interesting to see the cross compatibility between the "Modern" games like Spycraft, The End, and CoC. There may be stylistic issues- like the grittiness of The End, the flash of Spycraft, and the horror of CoC may not mix, but the pool of usable information, skills, and equipment should provide a wide variety of options for a campaign in any of those settings.

Hey, I have a copy of The End. What is this new book? Is it now d20 or just a new edition? This game is a fantastic read, although I don't know that I'd actually want to play it. Very dark.

The End Lost- Souls Edition

The End- Lost Souls Edition is a d20 post biblical apocalypse game set after the Book of Revelations. I, too, own a copy of the oringinal non-d20 game and it was an awesome read. The original game had some great concepts/mechanics which I believe are being preserved in the d20 such as Ennui (kind of like Sanity in CoC or Humanity in Cyberpunk) and Sin (self-explanatory).

I guess it is kind of like The Stand meets Left Behind. It seems very cool. The creators claim a unique take on the class system-- only one base class.

It is due out later this month.

Checl out www.tyrannygames.com. The website and press releases say that they new release adds a bunch of new source material to the original as well as d20 info.

I'm looking forward to The End (and to getting my copy of CoC). I picked up Rapture a couple years ago, and was real impressed about it, and then someone told me about TE, and about a month ago, I found a copy for $5, and it was just as interesting as Rapture. Once I get CoC and The End, my players are going to be begging for a simple, easy setting like Athas or Ravenloft:>

Post Book of Revelations

The End is set after the Book of Revelations has occurred so after the setting in Rapture for the most part. The End focuses on rebuilding and survival in a world which God has abandoned and man is no longer master.
