(Adventure) A Merry Chase *Judge: Uriel

Addressing the princess: "I am sorry, but you should understand someone of my order cannot just go around abducting people without it being justified. Up until now, we had no way of knowing this mission was not just one big lie. Spending a place to spend the night seems fine with me, but we should be on the move before sunrise. If it was not for our lack of knowledge of the surroundings, I would prefer to leave the road this instant."

Rinaldo look at the decoy princess.

"Wait a second! If they scry for the princess, they will be able to see the princess, not you, and they will know the trick without us being able to do anything. Am I wrong?"

"Maybe, but if they saw only this girl and think her to be the princess, then they would probably scry on her instead. Anyhow, there is nothing we can do about that, so we should forget about that, and think about what we can do."

Persephone

"Uh, scrying. Yes. To avoid being scryed upon, we would need to find a cave lined with lead rock. Yes, that would do it. But then we wouldn't be out making a rukus. I think we'll just have to assume that those in the know w/in the kings advisors will keep the scrying under check."

"I suggest we take a move now, it seems we are chatting on things we can't control, and remaining here is waiting for trouble."

Rinaldo order his horse to move and it start to walk.

"Which way?"

"It would be difficult to get off the road here, so we should in one direction or the other. Perhaps the less obvious choice would the the one in which the carriage came from. Let's head that way."

OOC: We've already been riding a distance. KB> How much did the 2nd use of the wand do to me?

"I suggest we continue until we come at some point where we can leave the road and find a place for the night to stay. We probably do not need to be spotted anymore today, so we can just take a good rest." Zoe get's back on her horse, extending a hand to the 'princess'.

OOC: 3 points. While the ride wouldn't be smooth, the area has become less jagged, to the point where you could go "off roading" a bit.

"Oh, yes, just keep riding along this road" the princess says in tones of inept childish deception. "There aren't any guard posts or anything... um..." She blushes and accepts Zoe's hand. Sitting akwardly on the horses broad back, Zoe could swear she hear's the princess mutter something in her 'adult' voice. Coughing, she says quickly "My father lets me ride ponies, they are much nicer. You should stop and get me a pony so I won't be all sore!"

"I am sorry princess," Zoe starts, with a tone that indicates her apologies are sincere, "but giving hostages their own mounts would be rather odd, do you not agree? We will get some decent saddles for these beasts, that for sure. So Rinaldo, Persephone, do you think it is time to leave the road and find some campsite?"

Persephone

"Yes, let's head for that lead-lined cave. Or perhaps we could stay at an inn. Word of this kidnapping probably hasn't spread too fast. I could really use a hot bath after all this excitement."
