Adventure Development: Resurrecting A Fallen Comrade

Hmm. OK, if everyone's stoked for a break out of hell scenario...

Yes, that's not an Heroic setting, and most of the apropriate monsters will be way out of their league. Monster Builder makes it very easy to bring a monster down to a desired level, by the numbers. But, you have to be careful about the number of powers and the sorts of riders a much higher level monster might have. For Heroic, for instance, downgrading stunned to dazed or dominated to immobilized. You can come up with a rationale for why Hell isn't all that bad or not. ;)

If your stories tended to be episodic, you could just have the resurrection happen off screen and go on some other loose-end-tying-up one last adventure scenario.

Seeing as I've already decided that we won't be delving into the planes or the nine hells or any other 'high-level' nonsense, it probably won't be necessary to do so.

It's basically the Escape from the Slave Mines of the Undead in the good ole Prime Material Plane.

First of all, it wouldn't be satisfying to have a dramatic death -- sacrificing himself to a horde of cave-dwelling zombies -- undone simply through off-screen resurrection.

After all, how many TV series do you know where a series regular was killed off and then reappeared the following episode?

And no, Aeon Flux doesn't count.
