Adventure Gaming System, anyone remember it?

Sacrosanct

Legend
Supposedly it game out in the late 80s by the same people who created the Adventurers Comic book. At least they keep talking about it in their letters section for those comics.

But I can't find anything about it. The only thing that keeps coming up is the Adventure Gaming Engine from Green Ronin, but that's not it. After rereading those old comics, I'm dying to see what they come up with for their RPG around that IP. Anyone remember it?

The name rings a bell but I know nothing more about it. Would it perhaps have been advertised/reviewed/mentioned in Dragon magazines of the day? If so, I believe they're relatively easily available on .pdf these days if you don't already have them...

I have all those on digital. I'll look.

Could it be the Arneson game Adventures in Fantasy? It came out in the late '70s and got remade in the early '80s.

No, it was their own homebrew game they were making around the comic. Best guess is it would have came out in 88 or so. I have a feeling it's one of those things that just never ended up getting made.

I'll ask on another forum and see what they come up with. I saw the same question asked on Reddit years ago that went unanswered.

Well, the best I could find was a promo in Oct 1987 that it would be released in May 88. I am almost certain at this point it was a cancelled project.
