(Adventure) Immortality Awakens (Knight Otu Judging) Part II

*Rillian's most recent wounds and a few from before knit and heal with Mongrel's healing power.*

(OOC: Rillian recovers 10 HP, a bit below average, but with the Rage bonus HP, he'll be fine)

Cade wheels around and spurs Anton on for another attack.

(OOC: Bront--don't worry, you're still ahead of the other group. However, it seems pretty likely that Rillian wants to Rage and attack. However, it is admittedly a weekend, so I'll wait until at least tomorrow for him)
OOC: K, didn't know :) Same as before. Ugh, 3d6+15 to get 21.. :(

(OOC: Hmm, I figure Anton probably will shoot again? It's been four days--let's say that)

*Anton shoots and barely even gets the shot to the tortoise, let alone penetrating its armoured shell. The tortoise continues abusing Rillian, but the hardy warrior stands proudly against the assault. Thurgan swings his axe but misses terribly yet again.*

(OOC: Rillian takes 13 and is now at 11

Back to Rillian)

*Rillian's strike is clumsy and fails to penetrate the tortoise's hide and Cade nearly falls off of Alton with a terrible fumble.

(OOC: Wow, some bad rolls here! Fortunately, the tortoise is about to roll a 3 on his save again)

*Sashal closes her eyes and concentrates again, opening them again to stare intently at the tortoise, her eyes glowing blue and the strange sound echoing in everyone's minds, as she staggers a bit, weaker than before. The tortoise reels backwards in even more anger and decides that it needs to attack Sashal, pronto!*

(OOC: T takes 34, total 89

Anton and Scun can go)

ooc: is there a way for Scun to protect Sashal with a 5' step? I'm not sure where she is, relative to the Tortoise and Scun. Also, is there a 5' step that would give Scun flanking?

(OOC: She's out about 30', keeping her distance now. There are people, including Scun, in its way to get to her, so it looks like it might be preparing to Overrun and Trample anything in its way. By choosing to stand his ground and accept the likely pain, Scun stands a (slim, thanks to the Size bonus to Overrun) chance of stopping the tortoise in its tracks

EDIT: Actually, the three people in the way are Scun, Rillian, and Thurgan. I'm NPCing Thurgan, so Rillian, if you'd like to also tell me in advance whether Rillian will avoid or attempt to block the Trampling Overrun, that'll save time when Turtle gets his turn)

Scun, realizing that the battle is getting desperate, steps from behind Rillian, bringing out his spear, and jabbing with it savagely, seeking to poke between the shell somewhere.

ooc: 5' step - flank if possible, draw shortspear, rage, attack (+9 to hit, 1d6+6). He will try to stand fast if the tortoise overruns, and is prepared to use his luck domain ability for it.

*Scun enters a berserk rage and makes a clumsy, below-average attack with his shortspear, failing to harm the tortoise.*

(OOC: Bah, more bad rolls. Flanking is not possible due to the thing's size, at least not without some time spent on positioning. The only one who is in a position to flank is Cade, and he's making his strafing runs for triple damage. Roger that on the blocking--if the tortoise keeps up the low rolls and Scun gets something good, it might even work, and Scun does have two chances. I won't have him use the Luck Domain power if the tortoise rolls too high for Scun to possibly oppose (which would be an 8 or so). At least dwarves get Stability and Thurgan is there too )
