(OOC: Okey dokey. Total up the cost then (multiplying by 1.5) I know you guys can afford it, but we need to subtract it from your cash. Assume you can get 80% value for the gems you sell--the merchants have to have at least some sort of profit margin or there would be no point in buying them to resell at the same price)
*After purchasing supplies, the group heads off into the harsh desert, heading eastsoutheast. The blistering sand churns and blows in powerful sandstorms that rip at the exposed flesh of the travelers, as they try to make what progress they can, resting during the worst of the day's heat and traveling during the milder (but still searing) morning and early evening, plus the icy cold nights.*
*They travel for a few days among the shifting dunes when suddenly, a subtle shifting ripple in the sands is the only warning before several large purple worms, the size of a horse, shoot forward, their bodies twisting and coiling as they strike with dangerous stingers on their tails. Thurgan and Tandi notice the stirring and so are not surprised by the sudden attack.*
(OOC: Initiative!
Thurgan 17 + 2 = 19
Enemies ???
Tandi 10 + 3 = 13
Thurgan goes first)
