(Adventure) Immortality Awakens (Knight Otu Judging) Part II

"I see...well if Larue is gone, then you can just leave now and everything will be fine then. We don't need your kind around here anyway...bloodthirsty vigilantes...little better than the orcs, really. I used to have a sort of glamorous view of what adventurers were like, but now I see the truth."

"Your father is with him it seems, he has been appointed a royal alchemist or some such thing."

"And no, adventuring is far from the glamorous life some dream it is, but just because I'm trained to fight and willing to risk my life for someone don't make me bloodthirsty."

"Now that's downright silly of you. However, is there a way I can make you more comfortable? Would you rather have yer arms bound togeather on one post instead of spread on the two? I'm not tryin' to be cruel here ma'am, just want ya to live long enough to help us sort this out. Been too much death already."

Tandi finishes her bath and dresses, half listening to the conversation nearby. Don't fall for it Cade.

Making her way to her private room, she looks in on the two before retiring, attempting to get some rest before it was her turn to take watch. It was tough though. She went over what went wrong with her plan of combat and why she had such a difficult time with fighting the beast. Dragon. I know, but why did I fail? Dragon. Yes, I understand that, but why.. Dragon. Nevermind. Then her thoughts wandered to the little girl back home that was desperately waiting for them to accomplish their mission and hopefully end her curse.

Inevitably, her thoughts came to the situation at hand. Her training at the hands of Russna's acolytes caused her to try and see secrets behind every thought and word and something wasn't adding up here. Was this simply a case of mistaken dragon identity or was there a far more sinister plot afoot?

Sighing, Tandi got up and went downstairs to see if she could scare up some tea for herself. She wasn't getting any sleep tonight.

"If you don't let me go, I'm going to scream until someone hears and then you will probably get arrested. They'll take my word over yours, and anyway, if I said that you are a murderer, it would be true. I'm not tired, and I don't appreciate being tied to my bed. In fact, I'm thirsty. Why don't we talk this over something to drink downstairs--unless you'd rather be arrested?"

Thurgan Hammer, Dwarven Craftsman

Thurgan had heard enough and wandered over to check on Cade and the girl, his hands worked over the final knots of the bit and harness he was fiddling with to pass the time.

"Ev'rthin' okay in here, lad?" Thurgan asked, with a respectful nod toward the girl lying on the bed.
