The Black Monastery should be a fun old school adventure

You could always adapt Shardlake (Dissolution is the novel). The monarch wants a monastery shut down (so he can seize it's assets) so he sends the PCs to find evidence of corruption. Add in several murders, the theft of a holy relic, maybe some smugglers (environmental crossover with Saltmarsh would work well), and of course politics.

For 2nd edition, Temple, Tower &Tomb. I don't remember liking the adventure, but I seem to remember liking the maps enough to use multiple times.
