Look out Charina! Wil shouts as he warns the newcomer of an impending attack.

Wil takes a deep breath and says to his fellows, We need to stick together and keep them from surrounding us. He looks to his side at the nearby rotting corpse.

[sblock=OOC] Use virtue of precience to give Charina +2 to Reflex (should stop corruption corpse attack)

This dazed effect layered is really going to hurt Wil's combat effectiveness (I only have 1 MW healing left and I can't use my other 2 reactions... so

Standard: Second Wind heals 10
Save: 1d20=11 WHEW

[sblock=dimsdale tactics] Kruk gets a save VS prone and reduces pushes by 1 (if he wants!) So figure out where you want to be and you can still attack H15 while prone (at -2) so it might be a better idea to Tide of Iron that enemy anyway so Wil can use Rhyme of the Blood Seeking Blade to help Kane without provoking an AoO (which I may do anyway).[/sblock]

ooc: It was brought to my attention that Kruk, being a dwarf, gets a chance to save vs prone and that a slide is reduce by 1(I forgot about that ability): 1d20=13. Kruk is not prone! and is at H13, which gives him a chance to attack. If this is correct than Kruk performs the following action.

[sblock=actions]
bedeviling assault vs wraithborn: 1d20+12 vs AC = 17 miss

continue mark on both wraithborn and zombie to the south of it

I would have used tide of iron here but I gave it up for the resolute shield power :(

Worst Turn EVAR!

[sblock=ooc]Yay dwarven traits!

It seems to me that Hergunna can still catch all 5 enemies in the burst, given that it is a burst 5. In fact, casting from her starting position (I13), she can even target the two dread zombies, although they will both have cover, as will the enemy at G12. I think this may still be a better move than maneuvering so that G12 doesn't have cover - in that case the dread zombies won't be targetable. (Too bad Wil wasn't able to move, I think his square would be the optimal one for the blast.)

And yeah, Kruk will unfortunately be in the area, but it's a Fortitude attack, so hopefully it will miss... Wow, 8 total targets! Too bad one is a PC ;)[/sblock]

Hergunna quickly stands up into human shape once more and throws open her arms to release a torrent of wicked barbed thorns. Unfortunately, Kruk steps in front of her at the last moment and takes the brunt of the blast. "Ach, sorry, Kruk!" she says, mortified.

[sblock=Actions]<Minor: WIld shape to human

Standard: Thorn Spray vs non-cover targets: G12, F12, F14, H15, Kruk (1d20+8=16, 1d20+8=11, 1d20+8=14, 1d20+8=9, 1d20+8=28)
And, OMG, the worst set of rolls for a while except one crit... on Kruk. :eek: :mad: Well I guess dice karma is catching up with Hergunna.
1d20+8-2=13, 1d20+8-2=14, 1d20+8-2=21 Crap, for some reason IC seemed to eat my description text on that roll (hmmm, I think it somehow managed to log me out just as I was rolling?), but it was "Thorn Spray vs cover targets: H12, E15, D15". That would be a hit on D15.
Damage; crit damage for poor Kruk (1d6+5=7, 1d6=5)
In sum, one lousy hit out of seven enemy targets, plus one crit on a PC. 7 damage to D15, 12 16 damage to kruk, and -4 to defenses TENT.

Crap. :mad:

Oh, and crap again: I forgot, I could have used Bracers of Respite when Wil took his second wind to heal Kruk for 1d8... but technically I should have done this before taking my turn. Tenchuu, if it's not too late I made a roll for this... but I won't link to it until you say whether it's okay.

Agggghhhh!...friendly fire!....ah Ha! Hit the enemy next time lass! Kruk shouts as he's being blasted from front and back by friend and foe.

ooc: I am mentally picturing Hergunna's last attack. lol Kruk's fort was probably higher than all the mobs. Damn IC! Arrrggghhhh!

After Hergunna's blast slams into the area, Kane rushes in, seeing an opportunity. The bugbear bats aside the corpse in front of him, keeping its fists from harming him and moves past Kruk. Standing in the center of the massing enemies Kane begins slashing, hacking and hewing the corpses, causing many tiny wounds on two of the foes and larger wounds on the other two. Kane then hacks at heavily injured zombie, hoping to finish it off, then quickly spins out of the area, not wanting to be caught in the deadly counterattack, but slashing a few times on his way back.

[sblock=ooc]

Move: to G13, draw OA from H15 Corpse - OA on Kane (1d12+9=14, 2d8+4=11) miss...but take 10 damage from the auras
Minor: Quarry Corpse of Despair at H13
Standard: Rage of the Crimson Hurricane (Chillborn Zombie @ F12, Chillborn Zombie @ F14, Wraithborn @ G12, Corpse of Despair @ H12); damage (1d20+12=19, 1d20+12=29, 1d20+12=15, 1d20+12=28, 1d12+8=17)
Hits Chillborn at F14 & Corpse of Despair for 17 + all targets take 5 ongoing damage (save ends). Until rage ends when Kane hits with Primal melee power, each enemy adjacent to Kane takes 4 damage.
Free: Furious Assault on Corpse of Despair at H13 - HQ dmage; Furious Assault (1d6=6, 1d12=12) So 18 more damage to him.
Free: This attack bloodies Corpse of Despair, so activates Feral Might, Kane shifts to H13, then back to G13 & gains CA against all adjacent enemies
AP: Whirling Step on Corpse of Despair - Whirling Step against Corpse of Despair; damage (1d20+14=29, 1d12+8=16) hits for 16 damage + 4 to all adjacent enemies, then Kane shifts 4 to J16 dealing 14 more to Corpse @ H15 & 5 to corpse at H15 extra damage (1d12+3=14, 1d12+3=5)

Total Damage:
Corpse of Despair @ H12 - 69 + 5 ongoing (save ends) <- doh! He'll have 2 hp left... dangit!
Wraithborn - 4 + 5 ongoing (save ends)
Chillborn @ F12 - 4 + 5 ongoing (save ends)
Chillborn @ F14 - 21 + 5 ongoing (save ends)
Corpse of Despair @ H15 - 5 damage

Well...I'm about out of cool tricks sorry...

Kruk blinks...

By Crombarkers Mithril Hammer, I'm glad he is on our side! ha HAAA! What do you think of that demon cleric!

Kruk braces for more punishment, smacking his axe against his shield.
