[Adventure] Marna is Missing (DM: pacdidj, Judge: renau1g)

CITIZENS, BE PROUD OF YOUR WORK THIS DAY! THE THICK TENTACLES OF TERROR HAVE BEEN THRASHED, THE VISION-IMPAIRED VILLAINOUS V... VI... VO... V-ENEMIES HAVE BEEN VOLATILIZED! THE HORRIBLE HOUND OF HELL WILL SOON BE...Sir Exsixten stops and his head swivels quickly from side to side. WHERE DID THE HOUND GO!?

Sir Exsixten stomps around the rift, looking under bodies, rifling through the group's backpacks, lifting rocks and sticks, and peering up into the sky. THE HOUND HAS ESCAPED!

Finally he stops, posing on the edge of the precipice. OUR HERO FINALLY STOPS, POSING ON THE EDGE OF THE PRECIPICE. THE VILLAIN MAY HAVE ESCAPED THIS TIME, BUT THE CITIZENS OF JUSTICE WILL SOON FOLLOW SIR EXSIXTEN DEEP INTO HIS LAIR, STRAIGHT INTO THE BLACK MAW OF DARKNESS...

[sblock=OOC]Sir Exsixten spends 1 surge to (almost) top himself off. I vote we head after a single short rest - but then, Sir Exsixten also has surges to burn.[/sblock]

That was...fun... Alnar says the last word sarcastically. Let's hope we can stop that ritual before it is too late.

Filth Fervor save fail.Roll

Alnar will spend one healing surge

I do think we need to hurry to stop the ritual. However Alnar only has 3 healing surges left and all of his healing powers are used. We could make a quick trip to the gnomes for help, but that would take more time.

So, I have no idea what the best thing to do is... Either way is fine with me.

[sblock=OOC]3 surges should be enough for 1 more fight. We can take 1 short rest to get our encounter powers (thus, your healing powers) back, then take off after him. Since you're low on surges, next fight maybe we should unload our newly-gotten APs and some dailies since we're close to needing an extended rest anyway. Let's just hope after we head after him there aren't too many fights...[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]All my healing powers are daily, since one is a multiclassing power and one is a daily utility. :([/sblock]

It seems Cyr's angelic heritage means he's immune to corrupting influences of The Shadow. He sheds the disease with equal ease as Rot Shadow attacks.

Save vs. Disease (1d20=20)

OOC: spend two surges to get to full. One rest only. If there are sstill healin powers available, use them on those who almost topped.

"Let's go, we cannot have them finishing this ritual. Ferris, aren't you from here? Do you know where it is?"

OOC: maybe INT check to remember istead of skill challenge?

[sblock="Towards Baerdun"]So, it looks like heading straight for Baerdun is the group consensus. The trek will involve a full day of travel over treacherous mountain terrain. To reach the destination the party will need one successful INT or Nature check versus DC16.

I'll also need a group endurance check versus DC12, with one surge a piece on the line. Everyone please roll here, as aid another won't be an option with everyone pushing themselves to the limit. Please post your rolls and briefly narrate your actions.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]It may be a day or so before I can update, as I need to get maps together. Also, you may have noticed I've been quiet on the weekends lately. It looks like weekends are going to remain slow for posting for me for the next several weeks, as my fiancee and I are traveling a lot and preparing for our wedding in early September. Thanks for bearing with me![/sblock]

AFTER THEM, THEY MUST NOT ESCAPE. Sir Exsixten says, suddenly leaping to his feet. FOLLOW ME CITIZENS! TO GLORY, VENGEANCE, AND MOUNTAINS. ONWARD!

[sblock=Endurance 19]1d20+4=19, success[/sblock]
