[Adventure] Path of Cold (DM: Velmont, Judge: Ozymandias79)

2) You see your Gouge, but the remaining is not in sight, but considering the content of this tent is not in order, they might just be somewhere in it.
3) There is no guards in this place.

To everyone: The tents are large rectangular tent. 3 squares by 6 squares. Crudely made but seems to be made to be easily carried around.

[sblock=OOC]Doing some re-reading of the past few pages, I notice that Velmont has been trying really hard to get us to notice that cup, haha. It was in Hadrak's dream, I'm guessing it's the powerful magic that 'blinded' Incarnation's detect magic, apparently Raiyek saw that the angels are after it and the goliath's don't want them to get it, and now Hadrak sees the cup again.

... Maybe we should try to get the cup, or at least see what it is? ;) I still think we should get our gear first, though, because the cup seems to be the goal of the battle outside.

Also, I wonder if Gruco made it through the storm. :([/sblock]
"Alright, let us find our gear. Probably in the cheiftain's tent, I would guess." Raiyek hefts his greatclub, banishes his armor, peeks through the tent flap to make sure the coast is still clear, and locates the largest or most decorated tent he can see.

"Incarnation, can you cut us a hole in the tent here?" he asks, pointing to the section of the tent that faces directly away from the battle, so that the hole (and themselves, when they leave) don't draw any attention.
 


Sigarr struggles against his bonds trying to free himself, now that the sounds of battle die down the barbarian risks calling out. "Hail! I am bound here against my will. If you are enemies of these men then you are allies of mine. Free me and I will aide you" Sigarr shouts, hoping the combatants are within earshot.
 

After the hole is cut, Dane shoulders the greatclub and scampers across the grounds toward the chief's tent. "When in war, last thing you notice are the rats."
 

Raiyek nods and holds the hole open, motioning everyone else through then brings up the rear, staying alert in case anyone notices them. He winces at Sigarr's call, but keeps with the plan for now.

As Incarnation open the flap of the tent he just created, he spots A Goliath running away. He doesn't seems to have spotted the group, or he just didn't care. The tent is near the edge of the encampment.

The sound of a string is heard above them. A flying angel just released an arrow that land in the leg of the fleeing Goliath. The Goliath fall down in pain. The angel start to fly back toward the center of the town, shooting more arrows.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Each time you want to travel from a tent to another without attracting unwanted attention, you need to do this simple skill challenge.

Skill challenge:

Goal: Sneak around the encampment
Difficulty: 2 success before 1 failure
DC: 20 (15 to assist another skill check)

No one seems to hear or care about you at the moment. Only sounds of battle can be heard outside. Sigarr feels on his own at the moment.

The brutal beating at the hands of the goliaths still lingers as Sigarr strains against the bindings. His muscle are strained as he attempts to free himself, but his great strength fails him.

Sigarr's head slumps for a moment as he considers his options.

[sblock=OOC]Simple skill challenge, eh? This is where it's really unfortunate that the only one of us four that has training in a physical skill is Dane with Athletics, haha.

So would using Perception to find the perfect time to move be a valid skill use for the next one?

Edit: Aid another checks don't count for the natural 20 = 2 successes rule, do they? :([/sblock]
Raiyek waits til the last of his companions exits the tent then runs behind, bringing up the rear. "Go go go go," he urges them on, hoping they make it across the gap before they're noticed. I really don't want those angels to notice us, not til we have our armor and weapons back.
