Adventure Path using 1e modules, 1e vets only!!

B2 Keep on the Borderlands (levels 1-3) into I1 Dwellers of the Forbidden City (levels 4-7) or start the Slavers series. After Slavers head into G1-3 "Giants" then the D series, capping off with Q1.

If I ran I1 instead of Slavers, I'd run S2 White Plume Mountain into S3 Expedition to the Barrier Peaks. Then, if I got tired of my PC's living I'd run S1 Tomb of Horrors.

Is there anywhere I can find reviews of old 1e stuff like mods and suppliments?

There are a few odd reviews for older modules at RPGnet. Pretty random. I distinctly remember a review for b10: Night's Dark Terror.

I have to say that B4: The Lost City is the platonic ideal of the D&D module. B2: Keep on the Borderlands is also pretty damned good. Beyond that, I2: Tomb of the Lizard King is the best mid-level module I've ever seen.

I recommend against B1; it's not so much a module as a proto-module. It's almost pre-1E.

1e modules

my current SL campaign used this sequence:
1) the dungeon mag module "Ironguard" (mini adventure)
2) B11 - Kings Festival
3) B12 Queen's Harvest

I didn't care all that much for under Illfarn because the maps and discriptions were not all that consistant IMO.

Temple of elemental evil could work if you start with the village of homlet as was suggested.

I'm at work so I can't look it up, but I12 - Egg of the Phoenix was a very fun module that you may want to try to work in there. I believe it was for levels 8-12.

I'd like to place a personal vote for L1, L2, (and if you can find it) L3. The Lendor Isles are some good role-playing.

I survived the ToH while playing it in Return to the Tomb of Horrors. As a thief no less!

Of course the 1e modules are available as $5 pdfs from www.rpgnow.com and svgames.com so they are easy to get if you can print them out without a hassle.

I'd also like to second tomb of the lizard king, that module rocked!

I had fun with the celtic 4-7 modules Llywellyn's bane and the naext one (I forget the names) I think they were C6 and C7.

this is a repeat of a post of a repeat of a post of a repeat etc...i posted some time ago on the tsr boards:

understand i ran a very low level, low magic campaign. and the order i am about to present reflects this. material from each adventure had to be adjusted to fit the campaign. these are my suggestions.

For taking the PCs from level 1 to 2 all of the following were used in order:

B1 In Search of the Unknown
B2 Keep on the Borderlands
T1 Village of Hommlet
N1 Against the Cult of the Reptile God
B3 Palace of the Silver Princess
B4 Lost City
U1 Sinister Secret of the Saltmarsh

for taking the PCs from level 2 to 3 all of the following were used in order:

Uk5 Eye of the Serpent
Uk2 Sentinel
N2 Forest Oracle
B5 Horror the Hill
U2 Danger at Dunwater
L1 Secret of Bone Hill
B6 Veiled Society

for taking the PCs from level 3 to 4 all of the following were used in order:

B7 Rahasia
B8 Journey to the Rock
UK3 Gauntlet
L2 Assassin's Knot
Uk4 When a star Falls
Uk6 All that glitters
T2 the Nulb part
X2 Castle Amber
X1 Isle of Dread

of course i used a lot of homebrewed stuff as filler and there were multiple character deaths by all the players involved.
