(Adventure) Retrieval of Fallon's Key (Macbeth Judging)

Thebis-Ra moves up to the begger, with Rogier watching to help if the begger does anything unexpected (

Meanwhile, the others, Sebastian, Iggy, Sara, Serene Wind, and Llolian, make there way down the side ally, away from the eyes of the rooves and the beggers eyes. As they get close to the trap doors leading into the celler, they notice that sound seems to have disappeared in this area. Nothing can be heard, not even intentional sound.

On the main street, Thebis bends over the begger, and blows into his ear. The begger doesn't move... infact, his hair does not move! Looking closer at the begger, he also notices that the begger has no smell, and he can not hear it breath! It's an illusion! To confirm this, he strikes at the sleeping begger, and his hand passes right through him!

Rogier, seeing this, still believing that the begger is real, wonders if Thebis had cast a spell and grabbed his soul... until his mind regesters the lack of reaction from the begger. He then realizes the same thing that Thebis had. The begger was not really there.

As they get close to the trap doors leading into the celler, they notice that sound seems to have disappeared in this area. Nothing can be heard, not even intentional sound.

As soon as Sara realizes the strangeness of the area, she grabs iggy and moves back the way they came (hopefully with him coming along. If he won't come she prepares to attack anything that tries to hurt him.)

Sara, alarmed at the strangeness, pulls Iggy away from the trap door, some 15 feet from the edge of it before sounds from the street can be heard once more. Still 40' from the street, they are still well within the the alley. Nothing seems to be coming at them, that they can see.

Seeing Sara pulling Iggy back, Sebastian slowly backs away as well, looking for any signs of movement in the garabage along the ground of hte alley.

Once outside of the silence, he looks to Sara and Iggy, "Thats odd, it didn't get quiet like that the first time I was by."

Sebastian turns and smiles at Llolian,"Of course not, I just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page. Why don't you and I check that hatch for any other surprises and maybe the others will keep a look out?"

Once Llolian looks ready Sebastian will move back up to the hatch and check it and the area around it for traps. Once done he will move out of the way and motion for Llolian to take a look.

"I can see little point to that, for, if anything, that would aid people who were trying to break in. It makes me suspicious. Yet it still seems a better entrance than the front door. Perhaps most of the group should stay back when the portal is opened. Personally, I would prefer such a position, for my spell casting ability is significantly curtailed without sound." Now somewhat concealed in the alleyway, Iggy cocks his crossbow, and prepares for the worst.

As sebastian and Llolian move forward to investigate the hatch, it opens up silently to emmit 4 men froma stair well that heads down into the bowels of the earth, all carrying sacks! Upon seeing the group, they grop the sacks and go for their weapons. The thugs are all wearing leather armor with studds under dirty red tunics.

Light can be seen from behind the thugs, and it wavers as it's being moved by someone out of the characters sight.
