Haltor's dying so he's rolled his death throw already. Just need Vist' actions and I'll do something for Alex [/sblock]

Even as Vistrathis was dragged across the cavern floor, shards of stone embedding themselves in his back, the gith planned his revenge against the hobgoblin. Suddenly his foe is moved away from him, and his moment to strike becomes clear. Rolling to his feet, Vistrathis ignores the slicing jabs of the hobgoblin's glaive, even after receiving a cut under his left eye, and recites the words of power taught to him by his mentors in the Talenta Plains. Dashing into the weapons reach, the swordmage completes the spell and sends four feet of steel towards his enemy. The gith grins as the crystal sphere within his blade flashes, cascading energy over his form. Should the enemy choose to attack, he'll pay for it.

[sblock=Actions]
- Move: Stand up from prone.

- Move: Vistrathis moves adjacent to G at BL-13, taking 5 damage, but allowing him to stand on the blood rock.

- Action Point: Standard: Vistrathis uses Booming Blade against G, Critting for 17 damage, and if G is adjacent to Vistrathis at the start of its next turn and G moves away from Vistrathis during that turn, it takes 10 thunder damage (see attack roll link). If the target attacks Vistrathis before the start of his next turn, it takes another 5 damage.

[sblock=LEB record?] wow, that's 3 crits in a row is that some kind of record? If that's not, then 3 crits within 2 rounds has GOT to be =D [/sblock]

- Minor: Mark G with Aegis of Shielding.

--- Immediate Interrupts (in order of preference) ---

1) If G attacks anyone besides Vistrathis (and G successfully hits that ally) with a melee attack, Vistrathis will use Dimensional Vortex against G, teleporting him (up to 5 squares) next to S 34 and making him use that attack against S34 with a +4 bonus to damage. If it is not possible for G to teleport next to S 34, then he will teleport as close to BI-8 as he can get (goal is to teleport him behind the big rock in the NW corner) and G's attack is wasted.

2) If G only attacks Vistrathis (or doesn't attack anyone), but S 34 DOES successfully hit one of Vistrathis' allies with a melee attack, Vistrathis will use Dimensional Vortex on S 34. This will cause S 34 to teleport next to G and attack G with the attack that hit Vistrathis' ally. If G is not within 5 squares of S 34 when this happens, then S 34 will teleport NE (Goal is to teleport the enemy as far away from his allies as possible).

3) If G attacks both Vistrathis AND one of his allies with one attack, Vistrathis will use the daily power of his armor to reduce the damage to himself and his allies by 7.

Vistrathis' character sheet can be found HERE. [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc] Do I get anything for using an Action Point from our Warlord since he's currently unconscious? [/sblock]

[sblock=Bravura Pressence]When an ally who can sees Haltor spends an action point to make an attack, the ally can choose to take advantage of this feature before the attack roll. If the ally chooses to do so and the attack hits, the ally can either make a basic attack or take a move action after the attack as a free action. If the attack misses, the ally grants combat advantage to all enemies until the end of their next turn.

AFAIK, Haltor doesn't have to be concious (looked at the class description); you just have to be able to seem him. He's just that good. ;)[/sblock]

After Vistrathis' attack, the glaive wielder quickly moves out of range and reaches into its belt, hurling a dart at the gith.

[sblock=ooc]
Well everyone saw how well being a Bravura worked for Haltor so they want to try it ;)

The hobbo has an immediate reaction to being hit that shifts 2 and makes an attack against the enemy. I don't have the stats here at home but you won't be able to take advantage of the Bravura in all likelihood,.

As an aside, I heard back from WD and so we'll have a replacement for Alex at the end of this battle
[/sblock]

Varak steps close to the glaive wielder and takes the punishment as his oppenent slams the haft of the glaive against his side. Varak, draws upon some rage and takes his blade and slashes at hobgoblin as the injured drake distracts him. The sword slashes into the glaive wielder's side, on the shadow, injuring him greatly.

Harressh hustles forward, tail held high, skidding to a stop on the strange reddish stone. He rears back and opens his jaws. Instead of a blast of cold, a thundering roar bursts from mouth. The blast of sound visibly buffets and batters the glaive-wielding hobgoblin

White Eye hisses and crouches low, a natural defensive crouch. Meanwhile, the cut on Haltor's side bleeds open...

vs ac;dgm (1d20+11=19, 1d6+4=9) miss, but it takes 5 dmg as a result[/sblock]

Alex moves up and hurls more phantom arrows at the hobgoblin with the scimitars and this time the hobgoblin tries to get out of the way of them, moving towards the glaive wielder. Alex then begins whispering and thee glaive wielder looks frightened.

[sblock=ooc]vs will (s); dmg (1d20+9=20, 1d6+3=7) - Phantom Bolt
AP's for Horrid Whispers vs will (g, s); psychic (1d20+9=21, 1d20+9=12, 1d6+8=14) misses s, but hits g for 14 damage and is slowed and takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls (save ends both). Aftereffect: Alex knocks the target prone.
s is slowed and takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls until the end of Alex's next turn.
Normally I wouldn't use an AP or Daily for an NPC, but it seemed appropriate.

With some space to move around, the glaive-wielder moves around White-Eye, thinking the beast weakened now that its rider was down, but the Clawfoot was far from defeated and slashed the hobgoblin with a vicious slash.

[sblock=OA]
OA (White-EYe); dmg (1d20+9=27, 1d8+3=8)[/sblock]

He now stood surrounded by his foes, but seems happy about it "You won't walk out of here" it promises as it slashes outwards, slamming the blade into Vistrathis, Haltor and a deadly wound on Harresh.

The scimitar-wielder moves towards Harresh, blocking strikes from White-Eye and the dragonborn. He brings his blade down on Harresh, but the lingering whispers from Alex prevent his blade from finding its mark.

[sblock=Haltor/Vist/Varak]
aura 2; whenever you're in the aura, if you move you take 5 damage. [/sblock]

[sblock=Monster Actions]
g - moves to current spot (takes long way around to only trigger OA from White-Eye) & uses Glaive Flurry - vs AC (Vist, Harresh, Varak, White-Eye, Haltor); dmg (1d20+11=28, 1d20+11=31, 1d20+11=19, 1d20+11=22, 1d20+13=29, 3d4+4=12) hits Vist and Haltor for 12 damage, crits Harresh for 16. Misses Varak again. Forgot the -4 penalty from Harresh & Alex so White Eye is missed by it. You are slid to where you're on the map.
Makes save, falls prone

s34 - moves to BJ16, triggers OA's from White-Eye and Harresh -
OA's from White Eye & Harresh (1d20+9=13, 1d8+3=9, 1d20+9=11, 1d8+6=8) well that sucks... he attacks Harresh - vs ac (harresh); dmg (1d20+10=17, 1d8+6=9, miss...doesn't have CA so can't double attack :(

[/sblock]

[sblock=Unlocked Stats]
S hobbo - Will is 17, Fort is above 15
g hobbo - Ref is lower than 28, AC is above 19
[/sblock]

[sblock=Perception 15]
A couple of large, reddish-brown patches stain the floor. (BL/BM 13/14 & BI/BJ 18/19)

[sblock=Religion/Arcana DC 15]
These are called Blood Rocks, they can conjure feelings of great battlelust in someone standing on them.

ooc - game terms, you crit on 19 or 20 while on them (the green splotches. Good job Wotc, way to have your maps match the description ;)) [/sblock][/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
Yeah, so a second leader seems like it would be appreciated with this group.

On the map s hobbo is scimitar, g hobbo is glaive-wielder. So funny story, I rolled their hide checks and got a 1 and a 2.... Apologies for the map, it's hard because they're pretty far away.

Status:
g - -2 to attack rolls TENT (Harresh), bloodied (from Harresh), prone
s34 - used hobbo resilience, bloodied

Init (incl. Combat Leader bonus):

Haltor - 23 - -6/37 - 0 surges used, bloodied, prone, dying, unconscious
Vist - 18 - 21/51 - bloodied
Alex - 18 - 31/36
Enemies - 16
Varak - 15 - 33/45 - slowed (save ends) <- you're up
Harresh - 15 - 31/40

White Eye - 4/46 - bloodied

Init (Haltor; Vist, Alex, Harresh, Varak) (1d20 6=23, 1d20 6=18, 1d20 4=18, 1d20 4=15, 1d20 8=15)init (enemies) (1d20 8=16)[/sblock]

[sblock=Terrain Features]
Illumination: Bright light from the torches

Boulders: The boulders are blocking terrain.

Debris: Debris from the excavation, as well as loose rocks, scree, and accumulated trash, are piled up in various parts of the chamber. This is difficult terrain, as marked on the map.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]If someone wants to use a standard action to try to activate Haltor's second wind, that'd be keen. :)[/sblock]
