Haltor snaps his mask back into place, but looked to the arcane types to tell him what was with all this magic going-ons.[sblock=OOC]Waiting to see if the Arcana checks tell us anything useful before going in.[/sblock]

The device distributes energy to the area’s constructs. You realize that it will likely take a few attempts to overcome the work of the Cannith artificer (if that's who enchanted this device).

ooc - There are a few ways to disable it (requiring 5 successes) :

✦ Arcana (DC 20); standard action; ranged 5 or melee 1; the character disrupts the generator’s energy.
✦ Athletics (DC 15); standard action; an adjacent characterbreaks part of the generator.
✦ Thievery (DC 20); standard action; an adjacent character tampers with the generator’s workings.
✦ A character can attack the generator (AC 2, Reflex 2, Fortitude 20; hp 90; immune push, pull, and slide). [/sblock]

As Vistrathis stares at the contraption in the center of the room a few passages from several books passes through his mind and it gives him an idea.

"Everyone! Forget the warforged! Go after the contraption in the center! It's providing energy to all of the warforged. Kill the device and you kill the warforged! Harresh, Varis... stay behind me and help me disrupt the device's arcane signature! Varak and Haltor, do what you do best and start ripping pieces out of the device. If we can't break it arcanically, maybe you guys can do it physically! I'll do my best to keep everyone safe, but it is likely that these warforged will try to protect this machine!"

Moving closer to the device and staying in the entrance-way, Vistrathis stares daggers into one of the more distant warforged, the sigil on his palm growing warm.

"Stay still, you stupid steely structure!"

After feeling Vistrathis' gaze, the warforged sees the ground before him fall away into a deep chasm, leaving him at a precarious precipice.

With the way to the device clear for his more physical companions, Vistrathis allows his senses to extend to the magic spectrum. Once he sees the devices magical energy waves, his senses become an arcane shield in an attempt to block the signal between the device and the warforged. The swordmage slowly expands this shield, trying to create a cocoon around the device.

[sblock=Actions]
- Move: Shift 1 square right/east to AP 44.

- Minor: Evil Eye of the Vistani: 27 vs WF 79's Will. WF 79 grants combat advantage to Vistrathis and cannot willingly move closer to Vistrathis until the end of Vistrathis' next turn.

- Standard: Vistrathis rolls a 28 Arcana check in an attempt to disable the device.

Immediate Interrupts --

Vistrathis will use Channeling Shield against the first attack that damages one of his allies, reducing the damage by 9.

"Good plan. Come on everyone, that couldn't be that hard!"
Varis cheers everyone up. He follows Vis and the arcane presence of his mark and blood begins to unravel the opposed magic. Mini lightning burst creep over the constructs.

"I'm not very good with arcane devices," Harressh mutters, but tries to follow the gith's plan. He steps forward and concentrates on the device, trying to drain heat from its conduits to plug them with ice crystals, but he can't sense the right spots to attack.

[sblock=ooc]Yeah, Harressh does not really have the Arcana chops for this. He'd do much better with Athletics checks. If he can get adjacent to the device, that would be much better...[/sblock]
[sblock=Actions]Move to AQ43
