OOC: Anything on the detect magic? Even though Kirin doesn't have any spells that can help at the moment, knowing if it is potentially reversable or not is going to change at least her battle tactics with any altered monks... And cause her to load up on remove curse scrolls if they have a chance to regroup at any point.

OoC:I'm sorry K-B, that was an oversight on my part. The Detect showed residual Transmutation and ENchantment magic, very faint and of a Divine nature. It would seem that whatever changed them is permanent.

"Supposin' a nice roarin' fire's out o' the question..." Rurik comments to Sturm as they come upon the monastery.

[Can the Dwarves see anything with Darkvision?]

OoC:The Dwarves can see a bit better in the gloom, but the Compound is still a quarter of a mile off. Colse at hand, they can make out a copse of trees that would serve as somewhere to stash the horses, should you wish to leave them this far out.

A little equalization for those not Level Two...call it DM Empathy for the little guy...

IC:
Bron Bekkle dismounts, moving under the trees.
Pulling a small and weather-worn box from under his cloak, he opens it to reveal a quartet of Vials, labelled Healing.
Looking from one to another of you, he hands one to Ishmael,Rurik and Sturm, as well as slipping one into his Belt-Pouch. 'Well, if you folk would carry these fer me, and use em as you see fit, I think the others 'ave a bit o'somethin similar in their Gear. These 'is from a friend at the temple o'Grendath, Bless Her. She, like those who follow Hyrag, is worried 'bout what has transpired. As well, she ofered these.'

Bron pulls out another box, opening it to reveal a half dozen Vials of water, the glass showing symbology of Grendath, Holy Water. [COLOR-yellow]' She thought that we might run into sumthin less than natural 'n better safe than sorry.'[/COLOR]

OoC: Whoever would like to carry the Holy Water, speak up and assume that you have one.

Sir Ishmael shakes the sleep off of his eyes and bows gracefully at the gift of healing. "Thank thee, Master Bekkle. This elixir of curing will surely save mine life in danger's face that we shall soon meet.

In light of this gift however, I think that I will pass over the holy water. I shall most likely be on the fore of combat should this divine water be required. Violet, mine sledge, is mine only needed weapon against the Dark."

The Halfling dismounts and scans the area with his power of divine given senses. "Are we to rest in this copse of trees to-night? I offer to take the last watch should mine time of vigil be in question. If needed, however, I am agreeable to taking watch whenever hour is without guard. "

Sir Ishmael pats his mount. Courage had always been his guard when he was resting. The warpony's keen sense of scent had sniffed out many an ambush before.

Sturm grabs a bottle, opens it, takes a whiff, then closes it. "Some'n else take it."

If no one else wants it, he'll hold on to it, but otherwise, he's happy with his scythe.

"Much obliged, Mr. Bekkle," Rurik says as he takes a healing potion and a holy water, and attaches them to a drawstring loop on either side of his belt.

"Fight 'em now or in the mornin', 'tis all the same to me. Though I might want ter rest long enough I kin take off these bandages, so's not to restrict me swing."

"Thank you." Aranel took a vial of Holy water and it vanished about her person. Having rested most of the way to this point she was feeling rather energetic and eager to set up the camp, though not yet tired enough to rest in it.

Telerin thanked Bekkle for the vial and slipped it around to a safe place. He then looked around in the darkness before speaking, "As my eyes are not useful in this light without much assistance...I would prefer we wait until sun. Unless of course, we are willing to draw attention to ourselves from a spell."

OoC: So, I have Telerin,Aranel,Rurik with Holy Water. I'll give Kirin one as well, as K-B is away ths weekend I think (from a post she left in eneral Disc).
I see 1 vote for Daylight and some 'I dont care either way' votes. If folks could just post their decision, I will move it that direction.

"Like it er no, we've been in enemy territ'ry since the station. If ye need rest, take it now, fer it ain't likely to get safer the closer we go. I was thinkin' of settin' up a firepit what couldn't be seen from the monastery. Mebbe a wall o' stones between here an' there, w' the fire this side o' it, if'n anyone was feelin' cold."

Rurik then uses his stonecunning to begin to look for large, dark stones that could be stacked/piled together to make a semi-circular wall, roughly three feet high and 5 feet in radius, to shield easy sight of the flames from the monastery, or at least make an optical illusion as to how far it is away.

Laughing a bit, Bron Bekkle says 'Master dwarf, I know yer People is unmatched at working Stone, but this might work jus as good...'

Bron pulls a large tarp from Giselle's saddle-bags, and begins setting it up so as to block the sight of the fire. Of course, he thinks to himself, they might still smell[/I[ it...beasts as they are.
