Skalisss and Brother Shane very quickly learn that Maraz is in fact the name that those from the Savage Lands give to Maros; the god of war.
There is a small temple devoted to him not far from the Chapel of the Obolus, a Lautonian priest informs you that it is not a very rich or popular temple because Maros is not a reliable god, he is known to thrive in battle, and often grants just as many boons to his follower's enemies as he does to those who pray to him. Only a few of the older guardsmen and warriors visit the temple regularly.
They are told how there were once hundreds of shrines in and about Daunton and the surrounding countryside when it was just an outpost and farming community, but many of them have been lost or abandoned since it became a city.
