I would have liked this book to come out with the core 3, making it a core 4 but people would have complained :)

a comprehensive list of magic items and normal items is about as essential as a monster manual in my opinion.

Add another book to core, focused entirely on items and equipment?

Cue "4e is all about magic items! Wizards lied!" whining.

I see antivenom/antitoxin is still something that is consumed *before* you're poisoned, as opposed to something you drink to negate poison in your system.

Other than that, looks great.

However, in fact, you do use them after the poison in the real world. So, that part is accurate (not that accuracy is necessarily that important in a fantasy game).

I've had this book preordered for a while now, and while I was worried that it'd be nothing but a book full of boring magic items (I call that the PHB... sorry, the mass majority of the items taste like cardboard, but the more I read, the more I'm getting used to them.). Now between the Airship, Bag of Tricks, and this... I'm ANTICIPATING the book...

Since you make your saving throw at the end of your turn, couldn't you use your antivenom after you've gotten stung by the giant scorpion?

The way saving throws work now, you can take antivenom after you have been poisoned before you make your first saving throw.

In the real world, don't you take antitoxins AFTER you've been poisoned? Things like atropine, antivenins, etc. are usually used as soon as possible after poisoning in a lot of cases, to reduce the poison's effect.
