If there was a tourist agency that could offer you the chance to visit anytime/place in earth's past/future, where and when would you go. Would you even want to go at all?

Hmm. Thats a tough question. there are so many things I'd love to witness. Off the top of my head, here are a few:

Be part of Lewis & Clark's cross country exploration trip
Be on the first successful boating trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon
Travel to China with Marco Polo

Back to see the birth of all the great inventions -
Kitty Hawk, when the Wright Brothers took flight for the first time.
Menlo Park, NJ, when Edison turned on the first light bulb (or first motion picture projector, or phonograph, or... well...)
Alexander Bell and the telephone
Morse and the code
Ug and fire
Marconi and the radio
the steam engine
and so on...

I'd go chat with Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu, and Mohammed, and tell them all about each other, to see what they really think. And I'd bring a video camera, and a pocket dictionary of Latin, Aramaic, Chinese, Arabic, and . . . whatever else would be appropriate.

Oh. Kennedy assassination, again with camera.

Roswell.

I wouldn't try to change history, just, y'know, clear things up for folks nowadays.

Oh, and ancient Egypt, to watch them build the pyramids. I'm betting no aliens were involved.

I'd goto the first football games in Yale back in the late 1800's and also the early NFL games. I'd go see Otto Graham's 7 championships and the 4 super bowl wins of the Steelers.

Any father back in time I'd run into too many language and cultureal problems. There was a great short story that had time travlers going back to see what happened to the Dinosaurs that had a great twist on what actually happened.

I'd go with RW to see the historical religious figures and the birth of the major religions.

Edit: Oh yeah, and Leonardo Da Vinci too.

I'm a bicentennial baby, so there first thing I'd like to witness is the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Then I'd travel to the 1980s ad, and try to relive my youth. Dang, I love the '80s, the music, the movies, the people (their attitudes). Ahhh, the good old days. Of course that was before third edition and my life as a gamer.

I'd go back in time to 1974. Lake Geneva, WI to be exact. I'd knock Gary Gygax out with a flying scissor kick to the head and "invent" D&D. Then, many years later, you'll all be sitting around on this website called TW World (oh yeah, I'll "invent" the internet and this website too. Take that, Al Gore! Hai-keeba, Eric Noah!) talking about what a genius Tarrasque Wrangler is. And also that he's very handsome and waaay too good for his wife Christina Ricci.

I'd go 100, 250, 750, and 1000+ (and more) years into the future. Love to see what the human race is up to that far ahead in time...

If you went into the future 1,000 tears, you might bumb into Fry, Bender, Leela, Professor Farsworth, Hermes, Zoidberg and the rest of the futurama cast! Wouldn't that be eerie?
