Looks like someone should invest in a dancing weapon.

Don't use random hit points. I think very few groups use 100% random hit point rolls. Most allow them to take average roll -0.5 (as per the DMG), or have some other mechanic. I like mine: you roll normally, but the minimum hit points gained is half the number of the HD -1. I have a few characters in my group who have Con's above 11 but the dice hate them. One is a 13th level Fighter with 65 Hp. I know you aren't going to say she should be punished for random rolls of HP.
