advice on creating a "mind bender"

yeah its a trade of (wierd for a class that is supost to be the best at mind bending)

I think i will just take 3 levels in the class that way you get

2 levels of mage spells (yeah you loose 1 but..)
Telepathy
skill boost
suggestion (yeah stuck at DC 17)
mind read
boosted fortitude save

Seems good - but shame you have to only take 3 levels of the "mind bender" PrCl inorder to build the best "mind bender" you can!?!?!

That's about the most I'd take. 1 level isn't terible, it isn't fun but I've seen plenty of people lose the level to death, fighter class, rogue class, cleric class, and platy of other things that are less on point than a focused prestige class.

Well, it probably isn't the best way to make a mind bender, I'm making a human wizard who specializes in enchantment (no conjurations) and I'm angling for Mind Bender for 7th level.

I started with an 18 int and I've just been picking up two ranks towards the pre reqs each level as cross class skills. My charisma is 14 so I've been able to use the social skills rather well, especialy in conjunction with Hypnotism. Also, I used Mind Over Matter so I can get bonus hit points based on that +4.

My physical stats are attrocious so I go out of my way to stay out of combat. In fact, I do my level best to convince everyone but the adventuring party that I'm nothing but a common laborer. I've been using all of my social skills to tell the tales of my companions and to downplay my own skills. When we travel, I often have my familiar (a raven) talk to the other characters in case someone is watching to figure out who the wizard is. Okay, so Ichabod is more than a little paranoid, but considering the amount of character death and near death going on around him, it only seems practical.
