AEG's Toolbox

How generic is this book? Can it be used for other games too, beside d20?

Much of it could be, but a lot of space is devoted to stats in encounter charts, so you'd get less mileage out of it. Of course, I don't use the encounter charts, so you'd be getting at least as much use out of it as I would. :)

It is (contrary to the ad copy) pretty much a fantasy supplement.

minor threadjack (sorry) AEG magic book?

In addition to the toolbox, didn't AEG produce a "magic" book for D20, with lots of spells and options for magical stuff?

Has anyone perused or used that book, and if so, is it worthwhile?

What, in general, is in it? Just spells? alternate magic systems? magic items?

Thanks,

See my review.

Short take: It's not just spells, and has relatively few spells in comparison to other magic books like Relics & Rituals. It is mostly a book of different "methods" of magic, with new classes as well as a section on handling magic with point vice slot based tracking and some other variants. There are some interesting variants, though not all of them balanced, and some just try to be different for the sake of being different instead of building on what you already know.
