Background, Goals and Dreams: The Order, once an offshoot of the militant arm of the Temple, has consolidated their independence in recent years. They are self governing and self policing. Taint is the great enemy, and all magi are tasked with finding new ways of resisting taint, and new untainted spells.
Enemies and Allies: As part of the Temple and the Orders Militant, the Battle Sorcerors can count on them as firm, if somewhat suspicious, allies. The common folk fear the magi. The Inquisition actively distrusts them, and is resentful of their independance.
Members: only Battle Sorcerors are inducted into the Order. Othar Staffbreaker (so named after having survived snapping a staff of power) leads the Order through the political minefield with uncommon skill, as he has for the past eighty years.

0 - 3 Aspirant: a member under observation, the faintest hint of deviancy
met with execution.
4 - 10 Apprentice: past the early trials and trusted to travel in the company
of a respected mentor. Apprentices are often attached to the retinue of
respected Paladins.
11 - 20 Adept: a trusted and reliable asset to the Order, often sent on
missions of increasing risk and value. Gain Weapon Specialisation (Athame)
feat.
21 - 29 Magus: your knowledge and personal power are signifigant assets
to the Order. Entire military campaigns can hinge on your participation. Gain
the Battle Magic feat. In addition you gain the service of two 7th level Battle
Sorcerors.
30+ Archmagus: if not the leader of the order, you are high in the council.
Gain the Craft Staff feat, however, your Athame can be used as the focus for
the feat. Your retinue is upgraded to four level 10 battle sorcerors.
