AFI names RotK one of year's 10 best films

The American Film Institute named RotK one of the year's 10 best films. Here is the link: AFI

They call LotR "the greatest trilogy in American film."

The website also has AFI's list of the 10 best TV shows of 2003.

I was thinking the same thing.

They probably say that because New Line is an American production company, but really I don't see this as an American Film at all, it's definitely an International effort by way of New Zealand. Honestly, NZ is on my top 5 places to visit before I die because of these films. It looks beautiful there.

Thank God Jackson took this project to New Line instead of having Weinstein convince him to do it in two films for something like 150 million.

I'm sure that's it. New Line footed the bill, so they're "American" films, AFAIG.
