Africa

Would anyone know of a PDF supplementary rule book that I could acquire that details a fantasy setting in Africa or one with an african flavour?

Thank you.

Of Course Check Out Nyambe. One of the greatest original Settings in awhile

Thanks, Thief. I tried doing a search on EnworldRpgNow and DriveThruRpg for Nyambe and came up empty. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Atlas Games appears to be the publisher. I checked their site briefly. They allow you to download a 107 page Player's Lore regarding this setting - which I have. Is there any significant need to purchase the setting anyways, given that this Player's Lore is freely available, albeit I am certain the actual product will have refined content that will be absent from this freebie?

Thank you.

 they do?!!
*goes to site* *downloads*
Thanks for the tip. :)

I suspect, since they're allowing it for free, that Atlas thinks it their books does offer much more. But I don't own Nyambe, so I'll shut up now. :)

There were a few issues of Dragon that covered aprts of Africa.

And then there was Aeshiba, Greek Africa. Pretty fun stuff back in the day. Don't know how well it's held up through time though.

If you want PDFs of Atlas games material, and Nyambe is pretty darn cool as a Mythic Africa setting, you will have to go to http://e23.sjgames.com/ to get them. Atlas Games no longer uses any of the partners that formed OBS.

Nyambe is a great setting. I just got a copy of the main book from a local discount bookstore for $2! It has me hooked. Now if I can get someone to run it so I can play in the setting...

BRILLIANT! Just checked it out. Thanks, SJ!

Yeah, I was going to say if you're in a state that has Half Price Books stores, you might find a copy of Nyambe there very cheap.

I'll jump on that Nyambe bandwagon!

I don't know why you're looking for it, but if you do pick up Nyambe, I'd also suggest you pick up Atlas' Northern Crown products.

While designed independently, the 2 designers apparently did communicate with each other, and so effectively, Northern Crown ties into Nyambe as the Americas and Europe of the same campaign world.

And it, too, is well done.
