Nyambe is the only way to go. The Africa supplements in Dragon were 'ok.'

It requires no conversion for 3.5. We simply allow all the classes and races as-is for general D&D.

Dannyalcatraz, could you outline a bit more of what Northern Crown's about? I mean, where the focus is, things like that? I know what it is broadly about, but beyond that nil.
 

NC is a FRPG set in an alt-hist Colonial America. Native American magic works, so their nations are still strong. There is a nation of freed Nyambans. There are fey closely connected to the Uropans (Europeans)...

Essentially, what we would think of the early colonies have almost nowhere to expand- the USA of today could not arise from the jigsaw puzzle of this setting...not that they can't become powerful.

After all, magic does work in this setting.

There is a product called d20 somalia, though I heard it isn't very good, and is more focused towards a modern military campain.
