I seem to remember at least onel Al-Qadim module that was sub-Saharan, African in nature. Can't remember the title off-hand.

Interesting. As an african myself I have been dying to find a jungle orientated play guide I could use if I ever manage to actually DM a real game. Now that I know there are some out there, I will be keeping my eye out for them. thanks!

Write one yourself. Now, what part of Africa are you from? My advice is, start with that part of Africa and work out from there.

[hint]A good source book on the Congo River Basin pre Colonial Period would be nice.[/hint]

Nah.. my part of africa is boring. We don't even have a massive major river that spawned a billlion sterotypes about africa. however we do have some pretty nasty myths. I'll get to work on it right away.

Heres a hint for some great African culture adventures, do a quick google on "muti ritual killing"

You're welcome.

????.... Uh.... Interesting, but not what I'm looking for... I think in this case, that for D&D purposes, evil as portrayed in the BOOK OF VILE DARKNESS is more interesting than dismal "they were so delusional they killed somebody" reality...

What I'm really looking for is a good module set in an Africa-esque setting. Preferably around 2nd-6th level. Preferably involving a variety of environment types (savannah, desert, jungle).

No place is boring when you get to know it. So, where do you live?

A homebrew world that was used for a PBeM once, that I found interesting, is Ramira Naka's "Tales from Dunya" (based on 2nd Ed. D&D, but mainly flavour over rules). I think the pages are still around - do a Google for it, it's pretty good (IIRC, Ramira is from somewhere in North Africa).
