Thirded and four-whatever. Take a look at the alternate Swashbuckler class abilities in PHB2 and Complete Mage, it gives you some great abilities in exchange for the boring Grace and Dodge things and all while keeping maximum sneak attack damage with just a few rogue levels.

Other options:

Take a look at the Devotion Feats in Complete Champion. Some of them could fit the PC nicely:

Air Devotion gives an AC bonus and a 50% miss chance to thrown & projectile weapons fired at you.

Chaos Devotion either boosts your AC or Attack Rolls.

Knowledge Devotion adds a Knowledge skill to your classes skills list and gives you bonuses to your Att roll against creatures you make a KS skill check against (you've studied them, so you know how to hurt them).

And there are others...

One level in Soulknife (or Wild Talent ) means you'll never be disarmed AND you can eventually gain access to the Kineticist* PrCl. That PrCl gives you another non-disarmable weapon, a ranged at will touch att, and an energy type effect on your unarmed att & weapon at all times, among other things.

Thanks for the ideas all! She's apparently not fond of rogues and doesn't feel she has a high enough Cha for Bard or other spellcasting classes requiring Cha. However, she likes the duskblade suggestion. She's not too concerned about being behind on spellcasting progression -- we leave the powergaming for when I DM . Psionics are not allowed by the DM. We do not have Complete Scoundrel or Complete Mage or Complete Champion, but perhaps a quick check in those books could help convince her of the rogue and other options. But, she wields a spiked chain.

Fwiw, the other characters are a hexblade, sea kin sorcerer, monk, and cleric.

PS. Her character is human, otherwise she wouldn't have 3 feats.
