Ah! Tarrasque!

Gate can't call unique named creatures with the calling aspect unless they want to come, but there's nothing stopping unique creatures from using Gate's transport feature. That would just be silly- "I'm sorry m'lord Asmodeus, but you can't walk through the Gate spell with the rest of the army. You'll have to find your own way to the battle" "Why not?" "You're a unique creature."

That said, this does mean that calling Mr. T is probably not an option

the important thing to remember here is that other beings live in these other planes. If you send a terrasque to...hell for example Im pretty sure that all the little deamons would not appreciate you dumping a terrasque in their back yard, and that would lead to you running away from the duke of hell that was mentioned previously.

Well, you could always send it to Ysgard. Those crazy einherjar would just look to it as a challenge to hone their skill for Ragnarok, and they come back to life the next day if it kills them anyway

You can't widen a Gate because the diameter is not a burst, emanation, line, or spread

Widen Spell: You can increase the area of your spells.
Benefit: You can alter a burst, emanation, line, or spread-shaped spell to increase its area...

Ahh. So Gate is completely worthless as far as Tarrasques go. Wow, I guess you can't even say TarrasqueS because there is only one.

I still think Magic Jar would be fun...

:]

Squeezing: In some cases, you may have to squeeze into or through an area that isn't as wide as the space you take up...You can squeeze through or into a space that is at least half as wide as your normal space.

The tarrasque's space is 30 ft, and since the 50 ft height in the flavour-text does not have a game-effect with 3.5's new rules for space (in 3.5, everything is now a cube with side length equal to the space), that means that the tarrasque can squeeze into the gate.

You can always try the portable hole + bag of holding trick at the Tarrasque's feet to get it sucked into the astral plane.

Or if you succeed at magic jarring the thing, then you should be able to teleport/plane shift yourself where ever you want while in the Tarrasque's body since technically it would your body. Dispose of it that way on a plane no one can ever find it.

Actually penning it up with four walls of force, then blasting away at it at range has worked for us. What worked best was casting a couple of 3.0 blade barriers into it after it had no way to move out of the way. After the spell penetrated the SR, it was done. It was just a matter of time before its subdual damage went into four digits and it became very unconsious.
