I don't see why not. You bluff the target into thinking you're aiming at his leg, for example, so when he tries to dodge left you shoot him in the spleen instead.

You fire in such a way that it looks like an obvious miss. Your enemy thinks you missed, fails to dodge, and is surprised to get hit anyway.

Maybe you pretend to misfire, the shot arcs waaaay up in the air, and it descends almost straight down on the unsuspecting target. Or maybe you're so much of a badass, you bank your shot off a convenient wall or tree.

Or perhaps you flourish your cloak, pose as though you are aiming at someone else, and at the moment of recognition you fire the crossbow (hidden by your cloak) and fire through it.
