Legend
I asked PC species inspired in iseaki and xuanhuan fiction.
1. Zhuanling (转灵者) – The Reincarnated of the Veil
Inspiration: Classic isekai + xuanhuan reincarnation
Humanoids whose souls do not originally belong to this world.
Concept
They may come from other worlds, eras, or planes.
They retain fragments of memories, habits, or "impossible" talents.
Society views them as chosen… or threats.
Playable Traits
A flexible trait that they can reassign upon leveling up (symbolizing adaptability).
Advantage on a roll for long rest (otherworldly intuition).
Social disadvantage in traditional cultures.
2. Lingmai (灵脉族) – Meridian Blood
Inspiration: Internal cultivation, spiritual meridians
A humanoid species whose spiritual anatomy is visible and active
.Concept
Their spiritual veins glow when they channel power
.From a young age, they train in breathing, posture, and meditation.
Magic is a physical discipline, not just an intellectual one.
Playable Traits
They can store energy to empower spells or attacks.
Bonuses to Constitution and Wisdom.
Vulnerable to effects that block internal energy.
3. True Yaoren (真妖人) – Ascended Spirits
Inspiration: xuanhuan (yao, cultivator demons)
They are not anthropomorphic animals, but primordial spirits that have taken humanoid form.
Concept
Originally, they were concepts: mountain, wind, dream, steel, echo…
Their human form is a stage of ascension.
Intense emotions can bring out non-human traits.
Playable Traits
A limited spiritual manifestation (aura, ethereal limb, supernatural trait).
They oscillate between humanity and transcendence.
Difficulty understanding human social norms.
4. Tianguan (天冠者) – The Marked by Heaven
Inspiration: predestined fates, celestial mandates
Born with a cosmic mark indicating that heaven is watching them.
Concept
They are neither gods nor demigods.
Heaven “invests” in them, expecting results.
Failure has visible consequences.
Gameplay Traits
A powerful ability that evolves with level.
Narrative penalties when they disobey their destiny.
Advantage against extraplanar creatures
5. Xueren (血人) – Heirs of the Profound Lineage
Inspiration: clans, powerful blood, xuanhuan inheritances
Their power comes from ancient lineages, not divine races.
Concept
Each clan developed a unique spiritual mutation.
The lineage can awaken late… or violently.
Blood has memory.
Gameplay Traits
Choose a lineage (war, mind, shadow, vitality, etc.).
Abilities that scale with level or moral choices.
Risk of corruption or overload.
6. Jingzu (镜族) – The Mirror Village
Inspiration: reflected planes, identity, psychological isekai
Humanoids originating from a mirror world.
Concept
They see the "normal" world as incomplete.
Their culture revolves around duality.
Sometimes they see things that others cannot.
Gameplay Traits
Limited ability to duplicate, reflect, or evade.
Bonuses to perception and deception.
Identity issues or fragmented memory.
7. Elevated Fanren (凡人) – Mortals Who Refused to Die
Inspiration: Xuanhuan of rising from nothing
They weren't born special, but they carved out their place in the cosmos.
Concept
They have no lineage, blessing, or innate spirit.
They survived where others perished.
The world acknowledges them… grudgingly.
Playable Traits
Progressive improvement of base traits.
Bonus when resisting death or exhaustion effects.
Earned respect, not inherited.
