Air Conditioner Gripes

Excuse me. You do her the favor of paying money to her and she refuses to tell you this thing? I think y'all need to have a short and explosive talk.

Of course, I don't understand an apartment complex that regulates this thing. Every apartment I've ever been in had a thermostat you could adjust yourself.

That's what I've heard of. Not some Nazi bimbo who determines that... "NO AC FOR YOU![/AC Nazi voice] :]

I've spoken with people in the complex that have had to stay in a hotel for this very reason. But, to quote the stupid apartment lady, "Air conditioning is a luxury. Heat is a necessity."

*spits*

They should tell her to deduct the cost of the hotel from their rent.

Sorry, Queen D, but I got my AC fixed today and am sitting in a blissfull chill. I am weak, I know, and should be in solidarity, but I am a bit south of you. No excuse, no excuse, I know.

I'll turn it off right now, right now, yessiree. [checks thermostat] Real soon, Queen, as soon as I get up and over there, yessiree...

In solidarity, I won't turn on my AC until the 15th, either. ENWorlders of the world, unite!

(not that this does any good whatsoever, but hey).

Fine,

I won't turn my on either.

Of course I live in a 1930's Bungalow with a big window every 6 feet & a ceiling fan in every room. Oh, and Missouri has had unseasonably cool weather so far, so I hadn't planned on turning on the AC anyway.

But it's the thought that counts? Right?

Returning to living room where cool breeze constantly envelops me.

Bah. I'd call/visit your local municipal building and ask about the AC usage date if there even is one. If your landlord/landlady's date does not correspond to this, give them her name/number or if you can't get those give them the address of the complex and let the municipal people know what's going on. They'll slap 'em with a fine and I guarantee you that you'll have your AC on in no time.

Of course, today was my first day at my new high-paying manual labor-oriented job of awesomeness after half a year of sitting on me bum doing papers. I'm reaaaaally tired/sore. And it's nice outside so I don't have to use the AC. Somehow this disappoints me. :p

At least it's relatively cool tonight. :)

Or, you could camp out in you SUV and turn on the AC. I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem at all...

OK, the 15th has come and gone. Is your A/C on?

(who finally remembered to turn his heat back on yesterday and noticed that the temp in his apartment had gone down to 58 degrees)
