Air Genasi level adjustment

Is it possible to start at 1st level as an Air Genasi? Where is the level-adjustments, if any?

Ask your DM to allow the "lesser plane touched" from the Player's Guide to Faerun. Basically it makes Genasi, Aasimar, and Tieflings subject to spells or effects that effect either humanoids OR outsiders, but makes them all LA +0. This might be a bit too good for Aasimar (I'd end up with way too many Aasimar sorcerers, paladins, clerics, and druids in my games) but for the Genasi it seems just right.
