Alien vs Predator trailer

Yeah, I'm with you guys on this one. It didn't impress me at all but I'll pay money to see this one in the theater and then complain about. Why did they have to have this take place on Earth? Why do they always seem to take a great idea and then bring it to Earth and ruin it? Wasn't that done enough in Star Trek, at least they did that well (at least IMO) and most of that was done on TV.

Chances are this movie is gonna suck. But, like Kai Lord, I'll probably be going to see it on opening weekend. :D

Ah, my loyal guinea pigs, I’ll remember to thank you if you save me money.

Well if it causes me actual trauma you can bet I'll be back here raving about it so others can then go and share in my agony. :]

I'm sure they're going to have a scene where
a facehugger infects a Predator, and you have the ultimate predator, the alien-predator mix... ;)
Predaliens are in the Alien vs Predator video games, and I believe they are also in some of the comic books. They are bigger and tougher than regular old aliens, IIRC. :)

Speaking of which, I almost picked up Predator vs Aliens 2 yesterday for PC 'coz they were selling it for $9.99 at Best Buy. :\

Anyway, I can't watch the trailer here at work (don't have Quicktime); can any summarize it?

Summary:

It's dark. . . .

And spooky. . . .

And something that looks like it might be an alien's head is almost visible in the dark. . . .

And also something like a predator. . . .

. . . People are walking through a dark and spooky place, with flashlights that don't light up anything. . . . It's old and scary.

. . . More dark and spookiness. . . .

Someone looks around, confused, like he doesn't know where he is or where his friends are. The music gets creepier, ominous.

. . . STUFF HAPPENS REALLY FAST!!!

. . . words show up on the screen . . .

I think you just described every horror movie trailer ever made (just remove the direct references to aliens and predators).
