Pathfinder 1E All Bard group, Pathfinder, Freeport, Sword and Sorcery style, with Castle Greyhawk

Talk about badwrongfun! I wish I was in your gaming group. :)

Two suggestions:

1. Check out The Castle of the Mad Archmage by Joe Bloch - a free Castle Greyhawk-esque megadungeon.

2. Find a copy of HiJinx, the d20 minigame of animated pop culture (d20 Josie and the Pussycats/Scoobie Doo). It originally appeared in the POLYHEDRON (#158) flipside of DUNGEON Magazine #99 (June 2003), when Paizo used to publish them jointly.

They are not going to leave the city. Ever.

By "the city," do you mean a single city? If yes, then you really need to convince the band to go on tour. Different cities will help extend the expiration date on this sort of campaign (new bars/bar skum, new groupies, etc.), and besides: What kind of band doesn't go on tour? Anyway, sounds like fun to me.

Bringing back Comeliness would seem an appropriate step.

You've also got to use the opportunity to table-test Gygax's Random Harlot table. That seems a natural fit, so to speak.

Thanks to Jaerdaph for reminding me that I edited and published this game about four years ago, when it was called HiJinx. I love to "retro D&D" spin you have here, though. This sounds like a lot of fun!

Mentioned above I know, but the 2E Bard's Handbook has a system for Reputation that I enjoyed back in its day (the 2E Gladiator's HB had a similar thing).

Reputation was really good for bards. Will help with how popular they are in each location too.

Cheers, C

Thanks for all the great ideas guys. I m going to have to find those resources you mentioned. I've already had to resolve one dispute: who the lead singer was going to be. They have a drummer, guitar (lute or something) and one singer. High roll on a d20 got it. :)

I second the complete bard's handbook recomendation. Also I recommend Hammer of the Gods, a book about Led Zepplin. Any band bio should give you plenty of fodder for this sort of campaign. Also, suggest putting a rival band in there as well. Try this adventure idea- Singer loses his golden voice to a powerful sorcerer collecting "Beautiful Things". Must confront the sorcerer to get his voice back.
