Unusual Defense
Benefit: You may change which defense your highest ability score benefits. If you have multiple abilities tied for the highest, choose one of these abilities at the time you take the feat, and you may change this choice whenever you gain a level and anytime your ability scores change.
Usually, all builds will pump two abilities and the rest will be far lower. This results in an imbalance between builds that require two abilities that affect the same defense versus builds that require two abilities that affect different defenses. For example, a Str/Con Fighter is ironically a worse tank than a Str/Dex or Str/Wis Fighter because it's easier to hit. From what I can tell, this imbalance is not offset by other advantages. Considering a non-pumped defense is pretty much auto-hit at high levels, this disadvantage is extremely significant and constrains class design.
The idea of these feats is to remove this disadvantage for builds that require two abilities that affect the same defense without improving other builds very much.
