Yes it is. In fact, the generic board shorthand for Fortitude, Reflex, and Will collectively is "NADs", standing for "non-AC defenses".

Yeah, and it's due to low blows like that they only have one good NAD.

Yes, all defenses boosts you AC so you can take a good hit to armor, and your other defenses as well so you can suck it up and take a hit to the NAD's.
