Who has played All Flesh Must Be Eaten? What do you think of it? I have the first edition book and I am thinking of running a Spec Ops meets zombies campaign. Any reason AFMBE would be great for that? Any reason it wouldn't be? Please, share your thoughts with me.

It would be great...it's a zombie game, after all. :) Seriously though, Eden's done a great game in AFMBE. There's plenty of options in the various books, the rules are easy to learn and teach and fast to play (IME).

Great game. It seems perfect for Special Ops verse zombies, or normal people verse zombies, or kids verse zombies, or aliens verse zombies, or frat kids verse zombies, or underwater aliens that befriended and taught the Atlantians verse zombies. ;)

Basically as long as you have someone fighting zombies, this game seems to work.

My group has played it and loved it. It's a great system that takes very little time to learn and is a lot of fun to play.

And yes, it'll be great for spec ops versus zombies.

You could of course use D20 Modern or Spycraft to cover the Special Ops part and Blood and Brains: The Zombie Hunter's Guide for the zombies: http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=2879&SRC=EnWorld

You can also download these two freebies for general zombie use:
* The National Center for Reanimation Prevention and Control, a faction for D20 Modern: http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=4262&SRC=EnWorld
* Most Likely Scenarios for Reanimation, adventure hooks: http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=3098&SRC=EnWorld

That was beautiful, man.

So as not to hijack the thread, I've played in serious and light all flesh games, and the system works well for creating both moods. It's also a good way to introduce new players to roleplaying games.

Have fun!

I haven't played All Flesh, but I've run it. I'm a big fan of unisystem and this is no exception. I'm not sure how well All Flesh would do as a campaign, but that is just personal preference with setting longevity. Basically, i have a hard time seeing a world run over by zombies game not becoming repetitive, but for your idea. But, that is just my cup of tea. For your idea, the system will work great. It certainly allows for diversified characters and has been a blast each time I've run it. I tend to look at the combat as incorporating some of Feng Shui's flexibility. If you can describe your action, you have a chance of doing it (not saying it is a very big chance, but it is a chance none the less).

Plus, simple system to learn. They go a little further with all of the different options for dice. I tend to just stick to the dice rules they use in the Buffy & Angel RPGs (just a d10). Makes things simpler.
