All Flesh Must Be Eaten

Flexor the Mighty!

18/100 Strength!
Anyone play this game? How does it run? I'm thinking of getting a copy to join a campaign but I'm unfamiliar with the sytem but it seems good from the demo copy I saw.

All Flesh Must Be Eaten is a fun game of Zombiness. It uses the Unisystem, which means that stats are on a 1-6 range, with skills at the same range. You add 1d10+stat+skill to determine success, trying to get over 9 to get at least some measure of success.

The various sourcebooks for it are a lot of fun too. I like it a lot.

You can find some reviews over at www.rpg.net, if you search their reviews.

Super, super fun game. The supplements vary in quality, but the core game itself is a classic. Gritty yet easy to play, and it supports many genres and settings.

I actually prefer Unisystem to d20 for many types of games—but its not perfect by any means (I'm looking at you, armor rules).

Which ones are your favorites?

In my experience, the setting supplements (Kung fu, Gun-Fu, Pulp, Western, Fantasy) are excellent. "Dungeons and Zombies" (the fantasy supplement) is my favorite.

On the other hand, the Books of Archetypes are not worth the money (IMHO).

I run oneshots of the mostly comedic variety. Everyone seems to have fun. You might want to check out the Eden Studios All Flesh boards.

As for how it runs, it depends on the group. Combat is your basic the describe your action and assign difficulty type.

Rules are more fluid, to fit the moment.

See the name, yeah I like All Flesh. Seriously if your interested in the game, check with the folks at the AFMBE Board they are the nicest bunch of sicko zombie freaks out there and will be glad to peer pressure you into purchasing the books. Plus the board doesn't get bogged down with the usual crap you find on most RPG boards. Tell em' Recently Deceased sent you.
