All for the Bards

unfortunatly there is very few stuff available for bards.
I am currently running a bardic campaign and I am looking for
plots, encounters, unusual instruments, well themes based on music & art
What I am especially looking for (because I need it in the near future) is a Dungeon for a Bard. Traps, Riddles Challenges that only a bard can solve.
I am also looking for a bardic antipode (maybe undead) like a spectral bard or something (if anyone is good at stats please contribute your ideas)

Well, this isn't exactly on target, but I'd suggest the variant bard in the book of eldritch might 2. You can also find it online at montecook.com, but I believe the spellnotes (which are kind of needed...) aren't online there. But, you can get an idea.

Of course, you can also try song and silence. Not too great all around, but, there are some new rules and stuff for different music instruments in there. (Both the chars I have now have instruments from that book. Not that you can't just find instruments and make rules on your own, but, shrug.)

Ah, other than that, I just keep thinking of the Goonies for music based traps. Too early, I guess.

I made a dungeon created by a bard a while back, let me see if I can recall some of the details-

There was some color traps. I think one had to do with pulling colored levels- which would color a part of the wall. There was a riddle that told them a color they had to make by pulling the right combination of colors.

The chests in the place were all locked, but with no keyholes. However, if one looked carefully- they could spot/find music notes along the metal rim. Music had to be played to open all of them.

There was a room that when they entered- all the doors closed and a gem golem was animated- as they fought, one could hear some music notes playing.

If someone played the music back exactly, then the golem took damage and another chord would play.

And I used a lot of frictionless floors- just for dm kicks.


Monte's EM2 also has a couple of bard PrC's that could be used with the regular bard, iirc.

How about a 'War Gong of Rage'?

Usable by Bards only.

Bang the gong and everone hearing it in a 120' radius becomes enraged as per the barbarian feat.

Make opponents tougher, but easier to hit.

City of Silence

Warlord Conquers a city. Bards opposed the conquest (and lost). Singing is now forbidden in the city. Silence is a common spell in this city.

Necromancer Bards that animate all skeletons in 10 foot radius when they sing bad to the bone. ^_^
