Alternate aging attribute modifier scheme

Anticipating the abolition of attribute scores in favour of their modifiers in 4E, and considering the well-established position that odd attribute modifiers are not-done, I present an alternate and more flexible attribute modification scheme for the different age categories.

The [-x..+y] syntax indicates the minimum and maximum attribute score age modifier the related attribute scores may have.
Code:
Kid: 9x -2 [-2..-4]
Youth: 3x -2 [+0..-2]
Adult: baseline
Middle Aged: 3x -2 physical [+0..-4], 1x +2 mental [+0..+2]
Old: 6x -2 physical [-2..-6], 2x +2 mental [+0..+2]
Venerable: 9x -2 physical [-4..-8], 3x +2 mental [+0..+4]
These are all relative to adult age, not cumulative.

E.g. a kid might opt to take -4 Str, -2 Dex, -4 Con, -2 Int, -2 Wis & -4 Cha. As she ages into a youth, she gets to discard 6 of the 9 -2 penalty blocks, & she chooses to go to -2 Str, -2 Con & -2 Wis. She could not choose to remain at -4 Str, as that would violate the [+0..-2] restraint on all attributes defined for youths. One age category later, she's at baseline (+0 to all attributes).

E.g. a man might be about to enter middle age, and chooses to take -2 Str and -4 Dex. He also chooses for +2 Int. Later on, as he approaches old age, he has an additional three -2 physical penalty blocks to distribute, and one +2 mental penalty block. He could elect to go -6 Str, -4 Dex & -2 Con, but not -6 Str & -6 Dex, as his Con of +0 would violate the [-2..-6] constraint on physical attributes defined for old age. Likewise, he could not go +4 Int because it would violate the [+0..+2] constraint on mental attributes defined for old age. Note that the constraints only count on the age modifiers to attributes, nothing else.

Please examine and critique honestly ;)
